Minimal is not Boring: A Photoshoot Narrative

Making pictures is more than perfect pixels. There needs to be something more added to the equation, so how about visual harmony?

When I met with Madeline for this casual shoot at a public beach park, there were hardly any elements that seem interesting. The place was quiet and serene, expected in the morning hours of a workday in a public park. The sun was making fantastic shadows. The ocean was perfectly flat, reflecting beautiful shimmering light, and we had blank walls nearby.

Simplification matters. Without simplification, an image cannot hold. Madeline’s beautiful mustard color sweater added just the right amount of color as we concluded with this shoot. Simplify, and you shall find results.
